ARE BIGGER MOTORCYCLES HARDER TO RIDE?

Once you’ve got confident riding on a smaller motorcycle, most probably a 125cc, you might start thinking about upgrading your wheels to a larger, more powerful bike.

But with more power comes a heavier weight – and you might be wondering if larger motorcycles are harder to handle.

The reality is that a bigger, heavier motorcycle isn’t hard to ride but you’ll need to use different skills than when riding a lighter one.

Is a heavier motorcycle more difficult to ride than a smaller one?

Heavier motorbikes can be a bit different to manoeuvre because of their extra weight, but they do have a better grip on the road. You will feel a bigger bike’s weight at low speeds but not when you’re riding at high speeds.
