ASK HONDA
HOW DO I GET A FULL MOTORCYCLE LICENCE IN THE UK?

Before you can ride a motorcycle on public roads you’ll need to get a provisional licence at first, and then you must complete the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) certificate.
Once you have your CBT, you’ll need to pass a motorcycle theory test and also a practical test within two years, otherwise your certificate expires, and you’ll have to start the process again.
WHAT ARE THE requirements for getting a motorbike licence?
There are different categories of licences depending on your age and which size of motorcycle you want to ride. Each category requires the same test, but it has to be completed on a different size of motorcycle.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency website has a flowchart that explains the way you can get a full motorcycle licence.
If you’d like to speak to someone about all this, then you’ll be able to ask instructors at your Honda Approved School of Motoring if you’ve any questions about getting your licence.
