HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN TO RIDE A MOTORCYCLE?

Most people learn how to ride a motorcycle in a short space of time, but a vital part of learning this new skill is to understand how to ride safely.

You will begin with a starter course, typically held over one day, that will cover the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) which you need to legally ride a motorcycle up to 125cc.

Your course should have a qualified instructor who will explain all the equipment and guide you through the basics. A good trainer will take you through your course at a pace that’s right for you, without any pressure.

What’s the best way for me to become a safe motorbike rider?

The RAC says that “nothing can beat experience when it comes to riding, but significant training will prepare riders for many potentially dangerous eventualities.

“Training can help raise awareness of other road users including pedestrians and cyclists, and capability for hazards and difficult riding conditions.”

You can book a CBT motorcycle training course at your nearest Honda Approved School of Motorcycling, where our instructors will ensure that you learn how to become a safe and competent rider.
