ROCK N ROLL CIRCUS 2023 IN COLLABORATION WITH HONDA MOTORCYLES (UK) AS OFFICIAL SPONSORS IN FIRST FOR LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Honda Motorcycles' partnership with Rock 'n' Roll Circus 2023 was a sensational celebration of music and culture that left festival-goers awestruck and craving more. With its eclectic lineup and vibrant atmosphere, the event was nothing short of magical and proved to be a standout on the festival calendar.

The Honda stand was situated just outside the Big Top (a giant circus tent containing the main stage) and against the picturesque backdrop of the Don Valley Bowl's lush greenery; a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

While a festival primarily caters to music enthusiasts, Honda's focus was on reaching out to inexperienced riders and those who may not have considered motorcycling before. The most prominent offering was the Honda New Rider Package. This comprehensive package allows individuals who are new to riding to spread the cost of learning over a monthly payment plan. It covers essential aspects such as training, acquiring a motorcycle license, obtaining riding gear, purchasing a motorcycle, and even including a service plan for the bike. It's an amazing opportunity for those considering a foray into motorcycling.

Honda's strategy underscores its commitment to making motorcycling more accessible and approachable, particularly for those who have never considered it before. By offering a complete package, Honda aims to demystify the process of becoming a rider and provide the necessary support for a smooth transition into the world of motorcycles.

Honda were joined by radio host Leona Graham who combined her love for music and motorcycles as she rode a Honda CL500 from Brighton to Sheffield to be in attendence and interview the performers.

The Honda Team arrived on a slightly overcast Friday morning, armed with a selection of motorcycles ready for the revellers to check out and enjoy whilst soaking up what Rock 'n' Roll circus had to offer.

Somebody’s Child opened with a performance that packed out the Big Top, followed by a set from Welsh rockers The Joy Formidable. As the afternoon progressed, the guests explored the stands and stalls and enjoyed viewing and throwing a leg over our selection of motorcycles. Special attention was drawn to our awesome Rebel range and our little 125cc Dax and Monkey.

Leona Graham was interviewing the bands backstage alongside a stunning 30th anniversary edition Fireblade and Sophie McGinn was out and about getting comments from the public.

Late evening saw festival favourites The Cribs pack out the tent with an electrifying performance before The Happy Mondays dazzled with Shaun Ryder belting out favourites like '24H Party People' and 'Step On' while Bez and his maracas danced the night away.

Headliner act Noel Gallagher's High-Flying Birds stepped on stage and kicked off with ‘Pretty Boy’. The rock veterans went on to play 'Council Skies', 'Easy now' and 'We're Gonna Get There in the End' before blasting Oasis classics such as ‘Little by little’ and ‘Half the world away’. An electrifying encore that included ‘Live forever’ and ‘Don’t look back in anger’ was sung word for word by the crowd, bringing an end to what was an awesome first day.

Away from the musicians, artists and djs, a talented team of circus performers, acrobats, fire starters and aerialists were on hand to thrill the crowd.

The weather perked up on Saturday with a sunny sky encouraging people to join us at the Honda stand. Our helpful staff were mingling and answering questions on the bikes, our current offers and our amazing new rider program which makes the journey on to two wheels much easier with Honda taking you all the way!

Tribute act The Arctic Numpties opened on the main stage and warmed up the crowd with a fine rendition of 'Mardy Bum', followed by the creative powerhouse, motorcycle fan and star of Ru Paul's Drag Race, Bimini.

Natalie Imbruglia wowed the crowd during her set with hits like ‘Wrong impression’ and ‘Shiver’ before fan favourite ‘Torn’ got the entire audience on their feet singing along.

The acclaimed Australian dance-pop duo Confidence Man then took to the stage with hits including 'Toy Boy' and 'Break it bought it'. The whole crowd were jumping as they closed out their set with the outlandishly catchy 'Holiday'.

Sheffield's own Self Esteem closed out the day with a breathtaking performance that had it all - iconic anthems, empowering vocals and flawless choreography that combine to conjure a unique experience for the hometown crowd.

The Big Top closed out the party on Sunday with Gatecrasher DJs and Gatecrasher Classical, featuring world class DJs including Ferry Corston, Sander Van Doorn, Ilan Bluestone, Marco V and Ruben De Ronde.

We had an incredible time at the Rock 'n' Roll Circus - the music, the energy, and the community spirit were truly unforgettable. We had an absolute blast introducing new riders to the world of motorcycling and celebrating with all of you. The vibes were electric, we couldn't have asked for a better crowd. We can't wait to do it all over again next year and create even more epic memories together.
