Honda Oulton Park Track Day

A group of 22 passionate Honda Fireblade owners had the thrilling opportunity to ride at Oulton Park, one of the UK’s most demanding and spectacular racetracks, thanks to the exclusive Fireblade Track Package available to 2024 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade customers. Not only did these lucky riders experience the track, but they were also joined by TT legend John McGuinness MBE.
The Track
Circuit length: 2.6920M / 4.332KM
Corners: 17
Lefthand: 6
Righthand: 11
BSB Lap Record : Bradley Ray - Yamaha 1:33.620 (2022) 103.51mph

In addition to McGuinness’s presence, Honda Racing used the event to gain valuable track time. The 2024 Fireblade owners were also joined by four-time British Supersport champion Jack Kennedy, currently leading the British Supersport Championship on the latest CBR600RR, and Honda British Superbike rider, three-time TT winner Dean Harrison. For safety, the professional riders were placed in a separate group from the customers.
Honda truly rolled out the red carpet for the fortunate Fireblade owners, offering free track time and instruction from the King of the Mountain himself, John McGuinness. The 22 riders were split into two groups to accommodate different skill levels, ensuring that everyone—from complete novices, who had never ridden on a track, to experienced club racers with race bodywork and tyre warmers—could enjoy the day safely and maximize their time on the circuit.
Witnessing an Oulton Park track day filled exclusively with 2024 Fireblades was a unique experience, even for 23-time TT winner John McGuinness. He remarked, "To see and ride in a group on a track day with nothing but Honda Fireblades was a little strange at first. I’m riding my ‘24 Blade and there’s another, and another—everyone on the same bike! I’ve really enjoyed meeting the riders and helping a few out, but to be fair, some were quick and didn’t need much guidance."
It was smiles all around the paddock as Fireblade owners helped each other in a relaxed and friendly environment. During lunch, the fortunate participants were treated to a special chat show and track guide led by official Honda riders Dean Harrison, Jack Kennedy, and John McGuinness. It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to learn from TT winners and a multiple British champion!
Chris, a Fireblade owner from London, shared his experience: "This is my first track day ever, and my first Fireblade. I usually ride around London, but here at Oulton, I can safely see what the bike is really capable of. It’s been a big experience, but a really fun one."
By the end of the day, 22 happy Fireblade owners left Oulton Park, complete with goodie bags and smiles all around. A free track day with expert tuition made for the perfect experience. Honda plans to repeat the event next year, so keep an eye on our social media channels for updates.
