DAY FOUR 15th JULY

It’s another beautiful morning here at Goodwood and we’re going to make every minute of this final day count.
Today is a somewhat special day for us, as Jenson Button is going to be driving the RA301 up the Hill and will also be on the Honda stand for a Live Q&A.
If you want to see that and loads more of our final day here at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 then be sure to keep coming back during the day for plenty of updates and exclusive content.

RA301
The beautiful Honda RA301 was produced for the 1968 Formula One season and made its debut at the Spanish Grand Prix, with British ace John Surtees at the wheel.
This was the last F1 car raced by Honda until the 2006 Formula One season's Honda RA106.
This year at GFOS you have the chance to come and see the beast itself!
Engine: Honda RA273E 2,991 cc (182.5 cu in) V12 naturally aspirated mid-engined, longitudinally mounted
Chassis: Aluminium monocoque
Gearbox: Honda 5-speed manual

“My time at Honda was amazing, some of my best times in Formula 1.”
We’d describe our current state as ‘tired but very happy.’
We’ve met so many great people and the stand has been heaving all weekend, but that’s why we’re here at Goodwood.
Time for a spot of lunch and then back to it.
Come and see us soon if you haven’t already.

There are many good reasons why we’re so proud to show off our Formula 1 and BTCC racing cars at Goodwood this weekend.
they’re here as a reminder that everything Honda learns from motor racing goes into our road cars. The racing circuit is quite literally our test lab.
the Honda Civic and the 2018 Toro Rosso Formula 1 car may not look alike, but they are definitely related!

- Halfords Yuasa Racing's all-new BTCC Honda Civic Type R was unveiled in February at Parcmotor Castellolí near Barcelona and its distinctive livery was revealed here in the UK the following month.
- The cars were built by the Team Dynamics squad throughout last winter and after circuit testing and track time at Brands Hatch and Donington Park with drivers Matt Neal and Dan Cammish, it was Neal who raced the Civic to its first victory of the season at Thruxton with Cammish in fourth.
- The Honda team are currently second in the team rankings behind Team BMW.
“The Honda Civic Type R has been one of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship's most successful cars during its time in the series" - Dave Hodgetts, Honda UK MD

“It's been a massive effort by the team over the off-season to transition to the new Honda Civic Type R and to see all of those hours of labour bear fruit is just a fantastic feeling.”

“It was really exciting to see the new car in the flesh, in full racing trim and it’s really something special.”“It's been a massive effort by the team over the off-season to transition to the new Honda Civic Type R and to see all of those hours of labour bear fruit is just a fantastic feeling.” - Dan CAMMISH

Well, that’s it for another year and we hope this Silver Jubilee Goodwood Festival of Speed lived up to expectations for you. It certainly exceeded ours and that’s down to the Goodwood organisers, all the wonderful people who came to see us over the four days and the great Honda team who worked so hard to make sure things ran smoothly. We really don’t want to go home! We’ll be back next year, hopefully with some great new cars and bikes and some more world titles to tell you about. Bye!
