The SH350i

Honda SH350i, a Workhorse with Thoroughbred

The SH range of scooters has an illustrious history. Each model plays a significant role in keeping the commuter traffic in European cities flowing. Since its introduction in 1982, over one million SH scooters have graced the streets of Europe.

The bike’s powerful engine makes it as home in the city as on the highway, giving the SH a rock-solid reputation for build quality and reliability.

Updates for the 15YM saw the SH become the first Honda to achieve EURO4 compliance. Upgrades over the following years introduced torque control, a smart key, new bodywork and a capacity boost.

For the 25YM, the evolution of one of Europe’s most accomplished scooters continues with clever additions, guaranteed to keep the SH350i in pole position.

Feisty Performer

Thanks to its smart power engine, the SH350i pushes out peak power of 21.5Kw and 31.5Nm of torque, allowing it to rev freely straight to the red line. The scooter complies with EURO5+ emissions. Also, thanks to ECU, catalyzer, and muffler revisions, the SH350i has lost none of its feisty performance.

As for sipping fuel, how does 80+ miles to the gallon sound?

A reduction in internal friction, together with hydraulic cam chain adjustment and scavenger pump, guarantees the engine’s legendary durability. Meanwhile, the auto-centrifugal clutch and V-Matic transmission transfer power to the back wheel via belt drive.

The Honda SH350i has always had a reputation for being a sharp handler due in part to its lightweight steel tube underbone frame. The well-proven design gives reassuring high-speed stability and the 27.5-degree rake enables nimble city handling.

Telescopic 35mm forks offer plenty of travel, with a twin shock set up and cast- aluminium swinging arm, handling damping at the rear. The Honda SH350i’s trademark 16” wheels front and back give the scooter a purposeful look and provide additional stability.

Carrying Capacity

The bodywork’s curving lines provide a seamless flow and additional wind
protection. The 435mm flat foot-well provides generous carrying capacity. For
more practical storage check out the under-seat boot with an internal light. The
compartment is spacious enough to take a full-face helmet and the increased-size glove box features a USB-C charging point. There’s also a folding hook on the front panel to hang a bag from.

The redesign of the fairing nose houses twin headlights, sidelight and steeply angled indicators. All lights are LED including the indicators, which also feature auto cancel and Emergency Stop Signaling.

Honda Switchable Torque Control (HSTC) gives excellent peace of mind in
challenging conditions. While two-channel ABS controls the single discs front and rear.

Rider information is via a central screen flanked by two triangular consuls and a small additional unit below containing warning lights.

The SH350i features smart key technology, adding to the scooter's ease of use. Four new exciting colour options enhance the SH350i’s smart yet purposeful bodywork, showcasing what must be, one the best-looking hardworking scooters in Europe.
