BTCC Q&A Round-Up
It has recently been announced that the BTCC season is due to start in August, a delay of four months from the original schedule, which should have commenced at the end of March. A full schedule of 9 events and 27 races has been proposed by TOCA, the series organiser. For the moment the calendar will of course remain conditional upon receiving appropriate government directives and approvals regarding the resumption of sporting activities. Should the BTCC be unable to resume at that time, the calendar will be amended accordingly.
As Honda, racing has always been in our blood so of course we would rather be racing, and our Type R FK8 is rearing to go having been given a striking new livery. When we did our season launch event back in mid March we never saw this coming, but at times like these its always better to make the best of the situation and do what we can to keep things going for ourselves and our fans.
Our team, Halfords-Yuasa Racing, and drivers, Matt Neal and Dan Cammish, have been working tirelessly in the background to keep their bodies, minds and machines razor sharp and laser focussed and, during the racing weekends that should have been, we’ve been working to create content on social media to bridge the gap for racing fans – and here it is if you missed it:
