EPISODE 1

Beyond the Blade is back for another season, documenting the action of the Honda Racing UK team as it embarks on the 2024 season racing in British Superbikes, British Supersport and tackling the NW200 & Isle of Man TT road races. 

2024 promises to be a big year for Honda, with both new and familiar faces joining the team. But it is not just some of the people that are new for this year. Honda Racing UK has taken delivery of a fleet of all-new machinery that will be campaigned throughout the season ahead. 

Join us in this first episode of the season as we 'unbox' our new motorcycles and begin the process of transforming these road-going production machines into racing thoroughbreds. 

The hard work starts now. 

EPISODE 2

In this second episode of the season, we return to Honda Racing’s Louth facility to witness the ‘engineering’ process as the team transforms road-going production machines into racing thoroughbreds. Pre-season preparations are in full flow and the research and development phase is well underway. 

All new machinery for 2024 has meant that the team and its technical partners have been working hard to design, engineer and develop new parts to maximise performance in all areas. Join us as the team prepares the fleet of race bikes required for what promises to be a big season for Honda. We also touch on the relationship between Akrapovic exhausts and Honda by way of Performance Parts Ltd. 

EPISODE 3

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3… 

In this third episode of the season, join Honda Racing UK as we hit the race track for the first time in 2024 with all-new machinery and an expanded rider lineup at the Circuit de Andalucia in southeast Spain. Come behind the scenes of this roads-orientated pre-season test to check in with the team and hear their thoughts on the season ahead. 

It wasn’t just the bikes that were testing, however. We caught up with our partner Motul to learn more about the partnership and how oil sample testing has helped shape the team's development.

EPISODE 4

In this fourth episode of the season, join Honda Racing UK as we line up on the grid for the very first time this year. Come behind the scenes with the team as we participate in the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at the Circuito de Navarra in northern Spain.

EPISODE 5

In this next episode of Beyond the Blade join us on the iconic start line of Oulton Park as some lucky Honda customers get the chance to ride a motorcycle for the first time. And to make the experience all the more memorable, we employed the services of some very special instructors. 

EPISODE 6 - Road Racing

Attention paddock attention paddock, in this episode of Beyond the Blade we made the journey to the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races to witness Honda Racing UK competing in this iconic fortnight of ‘road racing’. 

Come behind the scenes with the team and riders Dean Harrison, John McGuinness MBE and Nathan Harrison as they set personal best lap times, race distance records, best finishes and helped power Honda to the Manufacturer Award once more in a remarkable event.

EPISODE 7 - Marshalling

In this episode, we take you back to the Isle of Man TT Races to focus on a different kind of race. The race against time when a travelling marshal is called from their post to an incident on the course and has to enter a live circuit at the fastest road racing event on earth.

EPISODE 8 - FIGHTing

In this, the eighth episode of the season, we return to the Bennetts British Superbike paddock to witness the Honda Racing UK team in action at Thruxton for round seven of the championship. After 'fighting' hard all season long the team find themselves at the top of the championship standings in both the superbike and supersport series with riders Tommy Bridewell & Jack Kennedy. 

However, it isn't just at the top of the standings where battles are fought, Andrew Irwin has made the long hard journey back from injury to be fighting at the front of the BSB field once more. Dean Harrison is fighting hard for a top-six result as he carries out an in-season switch to supersport to carry out vital development responsibilities.

EPISODE 9 - Homecoming

In this latest episode, we join the Honda Racing UK team at the circuit they call home, Cadwell Park, for the ninth round of the Bennetts British Superbike championship and the final race weekend of the main season.

Learn exactly what it means to the team to race in front of their nearest and dearest at the most demanding circuit on the calendar for riders and team members alike.

EPISODE 10 - Pressure's rising

In this latest episode, we return to the Bennetts British Superbike paddock for the penultimate round of the season at Donington Park. It's deep in the business end of the season and the team are right at the sharp end of both British Superbike & Supersport. Honda Racing UK riders Tommy and Jack are both pushing hard to secure their respective championships, whilst their teammates Andrew and Dean are pushing for the podium. 

The season is quickly heading towards its conclusion, the stakes are high and it is all to play for.

EPISODE 11 - Giving it everything

In this final episode of the 2024 season, we join Honda Racing UK at the Bennetts British Superbike series finale at Brands Hatch, Kent. The team has worked relentlessly all year to put riders Tommy Bridewell and Jack Kennedy in a position to fight for their respective championships. The long hours, the miles of testing, the bike builds, eleven rounds of racing to the absolute limit and it all comes down to this.
