Automotive and Industrial Battery Recycling
Industrial Battery Recycling
As a producer of industrial (electric vehicle) batteries under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009:
We, Honda UK, place on the market Nickel-Metal Hydride and Lithium-ion industrial batteries. As part of this regulation, we will take back and dispose of Industrial batteries correctly and free of charge. We are required to do this in any calendar year we place new industrial batteries on the market. If any of our customers, or in certain cases, other end users, require us to take back Industrial batteries, they should contact their local Honda Retailer. We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of waste industrial batteries.
Automotive Battery Recycling
An automotive battery provides power to start petrol and diesel cars and runs essential electrical systems like lights, radio and air conditioning, storing energy for these functions.
You can return automotive batteries to Your Local Honda Retailer where they will be collected, or to your nearest recycling facilities for automotive batteries. To find your nearest facility, visit www.recycle-more.co.uk.
Recycling Your Old Honda
Reward Recycling
Fancy a quick, easy and environmentally friendly way of scrapping your old car? Meet Autogreen. They’re now our official recycling partner, so we can help as many of you as possible to recycle your Honda.
Landfill is incredibly bad for the environment, so it’s important that we all recycle responsibly – and that’s where Autogreen come in. They can dispose of (or even re-use) plastics, engine oils and metals.
Here at Honda, we’ll make the process nice and easy for you, give you peace of mind that your vehicle has been disposed of within government regulations – and even reward you with some money back for doing it.
