Wherever you’re drawn to, the GL1800 Gold Wing is the motorcycle for the ride, beautifully finished and designed to make touring more enjoyable. Powered by a magnificent 1,833cc six-cylinder engine, you have seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), all housed in a sophisticated, nimble-handling chassis. The Gold Wing is built for a pure riding experience.
A Pure Experience
The Gold Wing is all about the ride. Its engine – a six-cylinder mechanical masterpiece – responds instantly to each command. Throttle By Wire (TBW) engine management features four riding modes – TOUR, SPORT, ECON and RAIN – with throttle feel and delivery optimised for low-speed control. With strong power throughout the rev range that you can enjoy, no matter where your next riding adventure takes you.
The choice is yours
Enjoy the luxury of long distance on the Gold Wing with its 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard. To explore the engines full potential and strong performance, opt for manual. However, for longer journeys, Automatic modes such as Drive and Sport anticipate your every move, with a gear ready for you to utilise.
Full Control
This is a motorcycle built to handle corners, joyfully. Its aluminium twin-beam frame uses double wishbone front suspension, to reduce sliding friction from bumps and steering input. Steering input is also separated from suspension action and the result is light, nimble handling from walking speeds up.
Wireless Apple Car Play™ & Android Auto™
The expansive, 7-inch full-colour TFT display provides infotainment information as well as riding mode management, suspension adjustment and navigation. In addition, a new home bar is located at the top of Apple Car Play™ and Android Auto™, to enhance user controls and improve usability of rider functions. New wireless WiFi connectivity for Apple Car Play™ & Android Auto™ is also included.

Enjoy a hugely strong, 170Nm of torque peaking at just 4,500rpm, delivered with unique character. Acceleration from standstill on through the rev-range is effortless and exhilarating.
Rider infotainment
Improved speaker quality at high-speeds making the sound clearer to rider and passenger. The Bluetooth® connectivity has also been improved, allowing for an uninterrupted and more stable connection between rider and passenger intercom.
Electronically Adjustable Windscreen
The windscreen provides excellent wind protection – or opens up a sense of freedom for what’s to come. The height and angle can be adjusted electronically by simply pushing the button up or down on the left handlebar; it also memorises your favourite positions and will auto-adjust accordingly.
Pannier space for all that matters
Sleek, with room for what you need; there’s 60L capacity between the two panniers. They open with a button and hydraulic dampers provide a smooth action. Also, a USB Type-C socket is tucked away in the left pannier, ready to plug straight into.
Smart key operation
Simply keep the Smart Key in your pocket, press the start button and go. There’s no need to manually unlock the panniers, the Gold Wing senses the Smart Key as you approach, unlocks and locks them as you move away.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
The Gold Wing now comes equipped with the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to ensure you can be aware of any changes in tyre pressure wherever you are. Available on the Gold Wing, the TPMS warning sign will appear on the display when there is a change in pressure.

This year is the 50th anniversary since the launch of the original Gold Wing GL1000 in 1975. It provides a chance to celebrate how our legendary flagship tourer has transformed the motorcycling world. For 2025, an exclusive 50th Anniversary model will be available to purchase. Featured in Matte Ballistic Black and carrying specific aesthetic details to celebrate 50 years of this iconic model.
To mark this occasion, the first 1,833 Gold Wing 50th Anniversary models sold in Europe will include an exclusive, limited-edition half-and-half scale replica. This premium collectible, measuring 11 inches in length and 6 inches high, beautifully highlights the evolution of the Gold Wing, featuring the original design on one side and the current model on the other. It is a unique piece of history to display with pride whether in your garage or on your table.

1975 Gold Wing GL1000
Gold Wing now has an unmistakable presence as a long-distance tourer. The first-generation Gold Wing (GL1000), however was designed as a supersport model, due to the popularity of supersport models in Japan, Europe, and the United States, and the fierce competition among manufacturers in this genre.
1980 Gold Wing GL1100
The second generation model on the path to long distance tourer with a bigger engine. In 1980, five years after the first Gold Wing (GL1000) was launched in 1975, the Gold Wing (GL1100) was launched with a larger displacement engine and remodeled design as a tourer.
1984 Gold Wing GL1200 Series
The Gold Wing GL1100 established the series as a grand tourer in the U.S. The development team was not yet satisfied, aiming to design a tourer with more composure and comfort.
1988 Gold Wing GL1500
The GL1100 Gold Wing Interstate, launched in 1980, was a comfortable grand tourer featuring fairing, rear trunk, and saddlebags, and was highly popular in the United States, opening up a new market.
2001 Gold Wing GL1800
The newly developed engine was a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, horizontally opposed, 6-cylinder OHC engine similar to the GL1500, but with displacement increased to 1832 cc. Both maximum power and torque were significantly improved to provide an even more comfortable, powerful ride.
2007 Gold Wing (GL1800)
In September 2005, Honda announced that it had developed the world’s first airbag system for mass-produced motorcycles. At the same time, it also announced that the system would be available on the Gold Wing (GL1800) to be launched in the U.S. in 2006.
2025 Gold Wing (GL1800) 50th Anniversary
In 2025, to mark 50 years since the launch of the original Gold Wing, Honda launched the Gold Wing GL1800 50th Anniversary. An exclusive model packed with some unique aesthetic features marking 50 years since the launch of this iconic touring model.
